Besides physics, Radu and Şerban Ţiţeica shared another love: climbing on the most spectacular stone walls and crevasses of the Carpathian Mountains. They opened and mapped several climbing routes, and remained in the memory of Romanian alpinists as “Ţiţeica brothers”. Recently, a book containing interesting, pleasing and accurate descriptions of their trips and climbings (in Romanian: Escalade și creste alpine, Editura România Pitorească, București, 2020) was issued.
